Successfully Develops Flame-Retardant Cooling Pads from Malido Team

Date:2026-03-12

As an essential cooling product for farms, greenhouses, industrial workshops and water-cooled air conditioning units, paper-based cooling pads are efficient yet highly flammable—a long-standing safety hazard. Fires caused by such pads have led to over 100 million yuan in average annual economic losses over five years, with severe cases like a 2021 Liaoning farm fire resulting in 1.6 million yuan in damages and criminal liabilities.

To address this pain point, Malido’s R&D team launched the Coolcotek flame-retardant cooling pad, achieving a critical breakthrough: "self-extinguishing immediately after leaving fire" with no toxic fumes. Adopting nano-flame retardant infiltration technology and a dual "physical barrier + chemical inhibition" mechanism, the product meets GB/T 17591-2025 standards, retains the same 25-28℃ cooling efficiency as traditional pads, and has a 30% longer service life. GREENGUARD-certified and VOC-free, it eliminates safety concerns during welding or high-temperature storage.

Piloted across multiple scenarios, the product won wide acclaim—securing over 10 million yuan in first-month orders with a 60% repurchase rate. Malido plans to develop extreme-environment-adapted models and collaborate on industry standard refinement, setting a benchmark for balancing safety and efficiency in the evaporative cooling sector.
