On February 18, we entered the 60,000 laying hens standardized breeding base in Charbagh Township, Shache County, with a clean and tidy chicken house environment and an efficient automated feeding system. In the hen house, the laying hens are eating happily, and the call of "clucking" is repeated one after another, playing a lively eating symphony.
Inside the coop, workers are busy and orderly shuttling between feeding, cleaning the coop and collecting eggs. One of the co-op's employees, Hedizimu Yiti, not only found a stable job here, but also learned farming techniques. In the Sichuan farmers' professional cooperative, there are many employees like Hedi Period wood. Through the "company + farmer" model, the cooperative not only solved the employment problem of local farmers, but also helped them master scientific breeding methods through systematic technical training, and realized the transformation from traditional farmers to modern industrial workers. The successful practice of this model not only improves the income level of farmers, but also promotes the rapid development of local aquaculture industry.
Hediqimu Yiti, a resident of Sulukayik village in Charbagh Township, Shache County, said: "I used to farm at home, the income was not stable, and the life was very stressful. Later, I worked in a cooperative, which was close to home, with stable wages, and I could get more than 3,000 yuan a month. I also learned breeding techniques. Now the living conditions of the family have improved a lot, and the children are guaranteed to go to school.
At present, the Sichuan farmers' professional cooperative has four large-scale chicken houses, raising a total of more than 60,000 laying hens, and producing more than 50,000 eggs per day. In order to improve the efficiency and quality of breeding, the cooperative adopts modern intelligent systems such as insulation and moisturization, feeding water, and manure treatment, and realizes the automatic operation mode of natural ventilation, automatic feeding, water delivery, and manure removal. This modern farming method not only greatly reduces the labor cost, but also improves the production performance and product quality of laying hens.
Shi Nianwu, head of Chuanjiang Farmers' professional cooperative in Shachai County, said: "We started raising 20,000 chickens in 2020, and now it has increased to about 60,000. In the next step, the chicken factory will increase by 30,000 to 40,000 chickens according to the situation and plan to raise 100,000 chickens. Our eggs are mainly purchased by local egg merchants, and the quality is guaranteed, so the eggs do not worry about selling. Eggs are generally sold on the same day they are laid, with sales of about 400,000 to 500,000 yuan a month."
Rural revitalization, industrial development is the core. In recent years, Shache County has taken industrial revitalization as the lead and developed and expanded the aquaculture industry around the "one township and one industry" to help rural revitalization. Through policy support, technical guidance and market docking, the scale of the county's aquaculture industry continues to expand, and farmers' income has increased significantly.
